Sausage Crescent Roll Ups!

Updated: Feb 24, 2020

You ever whip something up because you have the items in your fridge and you need to use them before they go bad? This was exactly that! I had breakfast sausage links and crescent rolls that needed to be made before they went bad the next week, I thought why not roll them together to make for easy kid eating? I didn't know they would be such a hit with my picky kids!

This recipe is seriously simple!

Ingredients:

Pack of your favorite sausage links

Pack (or two) of crescent rolls

Whatever oil you like to cook your sausage in

  1. Preheat your oven according to the crescent roll directions

  2. Cook your sausage links until they are just cooked through. A small amount of pink left is ok as they will cook in the oven as well!

  3. Drain the sausage on paper towels and pat them dry of any oil.

  4. Take out a cutting board and roll each sausage in a crescent roll. See below for an example! NOTE: If you only use one tube, not all the sausage will get covered. Not a big deal for my family as my brother devoured the ones not rolled up in dough as soon as he got the possibility.

  5. Place the sausage rolls on to the pan with an inch between each so they are evenly spread out.

  6. Bake until the crescent rolls are a golden brown. About 10 minutes.

  7. Let them rest for 3-5 minutes- just long enough for them to cool and be able to be put on plates.

Enjoy!

Do you have a recipe you whipped together but love? I would love to hear it and try it! Bonus points if your kids love it!
